Why watermark your photos?
Product photos, artwork and photography are copied all the time. A visible watermark tells everyone who made the picture, makes it harder to pass off as someone else’s, and turns every share into a small advert for your name or shop.
How to add a watermark
- Drop your photo.
- Choose text or a logo. For a logo, a PNG with a transparent background looks most professional.
- Adjust size, opacity, angle and position. “Repeat across the picture” covers the whole image and is the hardest to remove.
- Download. The watermark is applied to the full-resolution photo.
Tips for a good watermark
- An opacity of 30–50% is visible without hiding the photo.
- Place it over part of the subject, not in an empty corner, if you want to make cropping it out difficult.
- Use white text on dark photos and dark text on light ones, or a logo with an outline.
- Keep your original, unmarked photo; a watermark cannot be removed from the saved file.
Frequently asked questions
Will the watermark reduce my photo’s quality?
No. The photo is saved at its full size; JPG photos are saved at high quality.
Can I watermark with my logo?
Yes. Switch to Logo, choose your logo image, then set its size, opacity and position.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so the photos never leave your device.
